The best Shisha in Dubai…
One aspect of Dubai life I’ve really taken to is hanging out at shisha lounges, hookah lounges (no, not that type) .. whatever you want to call them.
Going for shisha has become one of my top mid week activities. When I’m not up for a big night of drinking and dancing, and just want to relax and catch up with friends, chilling at a shisha lounge is the ideal evening activity.
However, I’m not so keen on the dark, dingy (probably more traditional) shisha lounges. Yup I’m a shisha lounge snob.
My kind of shisha lounge is hanging out at an open air terrace, overlooking a fabulous view (Dubai is definitely not short of those), and preferably with cocktails on the side and some lounge music in the background.
With those requirements in mind, here’s some of my favourite Shisha places in Dubai…
Top 5 Shisha Lounges in Dubai…
1. The Shisha lounge with a Burj khalifa view
Of course the list would not be complete without a shisha bar overlooking the stunning Burj khalifa. My favourite shisha spot is Treehouse bar which is located in one of my favourite Dubai hotels- the Taj Hotel.
The shisha here is gloriously smooth. Maybe a little gimmicky but the pipe lights up, changes color and has actual fruit inside the shisha pipe! This Shisha lounge comes complete with music, alcohol and a view- what more could you ask for?!
The Cocktails are fabulous, make sure you go there on a Tuesday for their ladies night offer! The music played is just at the right volume- so you can actually hold a conversation. This place is a win win all round.
2. For Shisha overlooking the Burj al Arab
Well this accolade just has to go to 360. 360° is probably my favourite bar in Dubai, just because it’s so unique and a real experience. It’s a perfect spot to bring visitors to Dubai.
Set out in the ocean, you get there by taking a golf buggy from the Jumeirah Beach hotel! Sitting on the back of a golf buggy zooming past the Burj al Arab is sure to put anybody in a good mood.
True to its name, it offers 360° views, although when its dark you can’t see much if you’re facing away from the city and overlooking the ocean. The best spot is to sit looking onto Burj al Arab views! Reserve a seat in advance as it gets busy particularly on weekends and Tuesdays (their ladies night!)
Another option is the D&A which has an outdoor terrace where you can get up close Burj al Arab views…
3. Shisha with a stunning Dubai Skyline view
QDs by the creek is one of the more famous shisha spots. Here they do amazing nightly offers, and if you come for sunset shisha is a mere 55aed and selected drinks are 25aed! Bargain.
However, Cielo Sky Lounge which is just above it at Dubai Creek Golf &Yacht club, is my favourite for its stunning open air terrace, lounge music, a chilled atmosphere, cocktails and Sangria!
Plus the views of Dubai’s skyline are incredible and make for a great photo.
4. Shisha while watching the Dubai Fountain Show
Dubai’s fountain show has to be one of, if not the best attractions in Dubai, and even better its free! Reserve a table at Abd el Wahab, for a spot of shisha and Lebanese food. However, it isn’t licensed so don’t come expecting alcohol with your shisha.
5. Shisha on the beach in Dubai
The beach at JBR has such a good atmosphere at any time of day or night. I love sitting here and enjoying a spot of shisha while watching the world go by!
Smoky beach is is literally on the beach itself, its a fab spot for a bite to eat, a (non alcoholic) drink and a catch up with friends! The only downside in my view is that it doesn’t serve alcohol- I do find a drink or two enhances the shisha effect!
What are your favourite shisha spots in Dubai?
And that folks is my round up of my favorite shisha spots in Dubai.
Bear in mind these aren’t budget options, these are more high end options for your shisha with amazing views, and in some cases alcohol and music! (What more could you want?!)
